Serioplast Australia is seeking a Shift Leader for its plant in Ingleburn, NSW.

Salary Range: $65,000 - $70,000  included annual leave and loadings plus Superannuation.

The Shift Leader will supervise and coordinate production staff to ensure continuous production and maintain product quality and hygiene standards.  

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and support Machine and Packing Operators, managing priorities, eliminating bottlenecks, and training staff on correct task execution.
  • Participate in technical operations, such as color changes, mold changes, equipment cleaning, and assist in line setup; perform minor repairs and routine maintenance.
  • Make immediate decisions on urgent production line issues, prioritizing staff safety, product quality, and production continuity.
  • Authorize production start-up at machine initiation and after changeovers or major maintenance, in collaboration with Quality Controllers.
  • Ensure proper execution of the quality control plan in production and perform random product inspections (e.g., visual checks, weight verifications).
  • Investigate causes of defects and implement corrective actions, including specific quality controls and processing defective bottles in the warehouse.
  • Oversee completion of shift paperwork for accurate and timely traceability of production batches.
  • Ensure staff and workplace compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards.
  • Participate in team activities aimed at reducing waste and improving productivity and quality.
