Serioplast, a global leader in rigid plastic packaging production, is looking for a QHSE Manager for its plant in Lavardac (47), France! Context:
Our plant, with 28 employees, specializes in the production of bottles and preforms for the food and cosmetics sectors. Reporting to the Plant Manager and with the support of our headquarters in Seriate (Italy), you will take over the role of Quality, Health, Safety and Environment Manager.

What will your responsibilities be?

QUALITY

  • Lead, coordinate, and support the Quality team consisting of 1 Quality Control Coordinator and 2 Controllers.

  • Ensure the correct execution of the quality control plan for both new and existing products and support your team in measurement activities when necessary.

  • Prevent, identify, and resolve non-conformities; propose corrective and preventive actions and ensure proper communication with the customer.

  • Be responsible for the Quality Management System.

  • Monitor blocked finished goods stock.

  • Manage the metrology equipment and tools.

  • Conduct audits; plan and ensure the implementation of internal audits to comply with ISO standards and food safety certification requirements.

  • Drive department performance and continuous improvement using relevant KPIs.

  • Support the industrialization of new products and the implementation of new processes or materials by supervising process performance.

HSE

  • Provide HSE training to new hires, temporary workers, and employees.

  • Regularly assess workplace environmental risks, conduct workstation studies in collaboration with Occupational Health services or other organizations, and establish prevention programs to reduce incidents, workplace accidents, and occupational diseases.

  • Conduct accident investigations in collaboration with the CSE, determine root causes, and implement corrective and preventive measures.

  • Obtain the required authorizations and certifications to ensure compliance with local health, safety, and environmental regulations; participate in inspections by authorities and provide required documentation; follow up on action plans with official bodies (DREAL, CARSAT, Labour Inspectorate) in collaboration with management.

  • Ensure the proper management of HSE documentation (such as the Risk Assessment Document – DUEvRP).

  • Select suppliers, subcontractors, and service providers; negotiate contracts and verify the compliance of services delivered.

  • Drive department performance and continuous improvement using relevant KPIs.

What are we looking for?

  • At least 5 years of experience as a Quality Manager in an industrial environment, preferably in the plastics industry.

  • Strong knowledge of HSE.

  • Fluent English.

  • A problem-solving mindset, strong communication skills, team spirit, hands-on approach, and a passion for challenges.
