Serioplast, a Global Leader in Rigid Plastic Packaging, is Looking for a Production Supervisor for the plants in St. Louis, Missouri!

What will you do?
  • Supervise, coordinate and support Machine and Packing Operators, managing priorities, eliminating bottlenecks, and training production staff on correct executions of their tasks
  • Participate in technical operations (e.g. color changes, mold changes; blade, equipment, and line cleaning; assisting inline set-up), perform small repairs and ordinary maintenance
  • Make immediate decisions on urgent production line issues (stoppage, technical interventions, etc.) prioritizing staff safety, product quality, and production continuity
  • Give clearance to start production at machine start-up and after changeovers or major maintenance in collaboration with the Quality Manager
  • Ensure immediate and accurate communication to interested departments on relevant production issues, timely reporting breakdowns and failures
  • Ensure the correct execution of the quality control plan in production and perform random product controls (e.g. visual controls, weight verifications, etc.)
  • Collaborate to investigate causes and implement corrective actions (specific quality controls, sorting activities, processing of defective bottles in the warehouse, etc.)

What are we looking for?
  • Good knowledge of plastic molding technologies (EBM and/or SBM and/or IM)
  • Good applied knowledge of mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical and/or electronic systems
  • Good applied knowledge of measuring instruments and techniques
  • Good applied knowledge of WCM standards
  • Good knowledge of Health, Safety, and Environment rules and practices
  • Minimum 3 years experience as a shift leader in a manufacturing company preferably in the FMCG sector
  • Job Types: Temporary, Full-time

Schedule:
  • 12 hour shift
  • Day and Night shift
